THE SONG THAT DESCRIBES APTLY "THE EDUCATED ILLITERATE AND UNEDUCATED LITERATE
####################
A few days' back I posted a Blog "EDUCATED ILLITERATE AND UNEDUCATED LITERATE - COUNTRY IN TRANSFORMATION MODE". After a few days we hear from Congress Leaders that half the country is uneducated and is not ready to accept "less cash" economy like other developed countries. That their education did not give them the minimum required literacy is evident from the fact they do not understand the basic difference between "Less Cash" economy and "Cash Less" economy. So they ask the illiterate question "How can it be possible in India to have a cashless economy when half the population are uneducated?"
Do they mean by the uneducated that highly educated economist who could not implement the economic policies and principles that he studiously studied in Foreign Universities or the IIT/IRS who became Chief Minister with a mountain of lies to back him up? Or those uneducated Journalists who do not understand the basics of Journalism?
Or do they mean the really non-school going uneducated or not provided the basic amenities to go to school/college so that they would continue to languish in poverty and vote them only again, again and again?
They are mistaken on one count. Those that the educated illiterate think are uneducated are the real learned guys, with no opportunities to gather or purchase flourishing degrees from prominent universities. These supposedly uneducated can grasp the nuances of changes in the economy, cultural and other changes that are taking place around them. The basic reason is they are not argumentative. They do not see changes from a political point of view. They see a need in the changes. They adapt to the changes faster than the educated illiterate that blabber nonsense in the air without even trying to understand the subject or at least hearing the view of the other side. Their views are too dogmatic and are based on rigid political views. They want and wish the nation accept their point of view or they call them "psychopaths".
That the "EDUCATED ILLITERATE" is a worse creed than the "UNEDUCATED LITERATE" is subtly described in this following song in a Telugu film by noted writer, author, educationalist, former RS member Dr. C. Naraayan Reddy in the year 1962. He aptly describes that for attaining wisdom and adapting to the change education is not needed. What is needed is a clear mind and love for one's nation or neighbor.
Never feel betrayed that you are not educated nor get depressed.
When there is no affection for fellow human beings in your heart, where is need for education?
When one can not live with a clear mind like the white snow or a jasmine flower, is that life worth living?
What education did the birds receive that they are able to fly? What education did the fish receive that they are able to swim? Who taught dance to the peacock in the forest? Who taught the cuckoo bird sitting on the bough to sing so sweetly?
The unlearned calf calls her mother " Amba". Just born baby cries loudly for her mother "Amma" . Where is need for bookish knowledge?. It is enough if one has the heart to learn. The flowers that grow on the grass are always more valuable than the decorative flowers made of plastic paper.
So my dear educated illiterate Congress Wallahs, remember that the uneducated illiterate are always better than the educated illiterate like you. They may not be having decorative degrees like plastic flowers, but they shine like the flowers grown on grass and give pleasantness to the Mother Earth
You may not understand what less-cash economy is but they can understand and adapt to the changes faster.
